Despite the ongoing uncertainty with Brexit and the instability of the UK Pound against other currencies, it seems the Brits still love their holidays. According to ABTA summer 2019 overseas package and accommodation bookings were up 12 per cent compared to last year. The weaker pound however means holidaymakers are more cost-conscious, with 51 per cent saying they would spend the same as last year and only 25 per cent – down six points – saying they would spend more. Also they suggested that consumer demand is shifting towards more regular shorter breaks.
ABTA also hails the return of the trusted travel expert. The good news for agents and operators is that 45 per cent of ABTA’s 2,000 interviewees said they were more confident booking with a travel professional.
From my experience as a photographer who has worked for the travel industry, this definitely seems to be the case. I've covered more travel related commissions in the last couple of years, than over the previous decade combined as a professional photographer.
Lots of varied events - from travel industry roadshows, tour operator previews, travel agent networking events, holiday prize give-aways to store promotions. All recognising that photography, travel and tourism are intrinsically linked and understanding that bespoke professional imagery, unique to the event, will always help them stand out from the competition and to get their brand message across.
So if you are planning a travel industry related event, conference or roadshow in, or around Merseyside, please get in touch for a competitive photography quote.
Below are some examples from clients; Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, Thomas Cook, Holidays Extra, PR Media Co, TIPTO, CLC World Holidays, Stena Line and the Travelex Group.

I always spend a little time each year in January checking my SEO metrics and potential impacts on search engine rankings for my site. And thought this year I would highlight the five most popular blogs last year in 2019. Not all of them are new, infact a few are quite old but they hit a spot and keep getting impressions and all important clicks. Read more...
"As a new business, it was very important to me to get the right publicity photographs for my marketing materials. When I met David, he listened carefully to what I was trying to achieve with my brand, and then produced fabulous photographs that were exactly what I needed. He was extremely professional throughout but also nice and friendly. Myself and my clients found it easy to relax with him, which was essential to create the right vibe for the shoot. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone."
